Life Is Not A Fairytale:Fantasia Barrino Story (2006; Debbie Allen, director)

Jamia's performance in this movie seems to go beyond performance: she sinks so deeply into the role of Young Fantasia
that you almost forget she's Jamia. It's not a likable performance, and it's not an especially likable film (when jamia sings
you can't look away!!!), but it is perhaps the high point of her career.
